Minecraft Pocket Edition Guide
Minecraft is a sandbox gaming actually created by Swedish game developer Markus "Notch" Persson, and later developed and published by Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft enable players to create constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally produced world. Other activities in the game include exploration, tool gathering, crafting, and combat. Multiple gameplay methods are available, including survival setting where the player must acquire resources to generate the world and maintain health, a creative setting where players have unlimited resources to develop with and the capability to fly, an adventure function where players can play custom maps created by other players, and a spectator function where players can journey around and clip through blocks, but cannot place or ruin any. The Laptop or computer version of the game is noted because of its modding scene, where a dedicated community creates new gameplay technicians, items, and possessions for the game.Minecraft received compliment from critics upon release, and gained numerous honours and accolades. As of 2016 June, over 106 million copies have been sold across all platforms, with more than 40 million unique players each month, rendering it the best-selling PC game up to now and the next best-selling gaming ever, only behind the many releases of Tetris. In September 2014, Microsoft released a package to buy Mojang and the Minecraft intellectual property for US$2.5 billion, with the acquisition being completed 8 weeks later.

Minecraft is a three-dimensional sandbox game that has no specific goals for the participant to perform, allowing players a great amount of freedom in choosing how to experiment with the gameHowever, there can be an achievements system. Gameplay by default is first person, but players have the option to play in third person function. The core gameplay revolves around placing and breaking blocks. The game world is composed of rough 3D objects--mainly cubes--arranged in a fixed grid pattern and representing different materials, such as dirt, stone, various ores, water, lava, tree trunks, etc. While players can move around the world freely, objects can only just be put at permanent locations on the grid. Players can gather these material blocks and place them anywhere else, thus allowing for various constructions. In the beginning of the game, the gamer is put on the surface of the procedurally generated and practically infinite game world. The planet is divided into biomes which range from deserts to jungles to snowfield. Players can walk over the terrain consisting of plains, mountains, forests, caves, and various water bodies. The in-game time system follows a full day and night cycle, with one full circuit enduring 20 real-time minutes. Throughout the course of the overall game, players come across various non-player individuals known as mobs, including pets or animals, villagers and hostile creatures. Non-hostile animals--such as cows, pigs, and chickens--can be hunted for crafting and food materials, and spawn in the day time. By contrast, hostile mobs--such as large spiders, skeletons, and zombies--spawn during nighttime or in dark places, such as caves. Some Minecraft-unique animals have been noted by reviewers, like the Creeper, an exploding creature that sneaks through to the player; and the Enderman, a creature having the ability to teleport and pick up blocks.
